The new production line includes a 300m2 clean room with an IS07 cleanliness classification and customised temperature, pressure and humidity control. The cleanroom is also equipped with state-of-the-art data intelligence software that provides real-time information on the status of the cleanroom at all times. This technology is unique in Luxembourg and ensures the highest level of production as well as the highest levels of safety and precision. With this new production line, Artec 3D aims to continue to lead the way in the 3D scanning hardware and software market.

Founded in 2007 in Paolo Alto, California, the company decided to move its headquarters to Luxembourg in 2010. Artec 3D develops and manufactures innovative 3D scanners that are used in many fields such as reverse engineering, quality inspection, design, Industry 4.0, healthcare and forensics. The company is now active in 150 countries with more than 220 employees in 4 countries. As a reminder, last November the Luxembourg Directorate of Defense supplied a complete set of innovative Artec 3D solutions to Ukraine for 3D scanning of forensic evidence to document possible war crimes. Artec 3D has also been working with the local fundraising organisation, LUkraine, since the start of the war last year.

After a short presentation of the company's activities, the delegation was given a tour of the clean room. Xavier Bettel and Franz Fayot then underwent a full scan.

At the inauguration, the Prime Minister, Minister of State Xavier Bettel, said: "Thanks to this investment by Artec 3D, Luxembourg has one of the most advanced cleanrooms in Europe. As a government, we are proud to have facilitated this investment. The story of Artec 3D is a real success story and also an example of a public-private partnership that has worked very well".

The Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot said: "Since its arrival in Luxembourg in 2010, Artec 3D has undergone a remarkable development and has been perfectly integrated into the Luxembourg economic landscape. Today, the company is a world leader in the development of innovative 3D solutions and products, which are very promising in many fields, particularly in view of the dual challenge of digital and green transition. With this new production line, the company is strengthening its Luxembourg roots and contributing to the influence of 'Made in Luxembourg' throughout the world. As the Ministry of the Economy, we are proud to have been able to support Artec 3D since its creation, notably through Luxinnovation and thanks to financial aid"

Art Yukhin, CEO of Artec 3D added: "We are very proud to inaugurate the most advanced clean room in Luxembourg and one of the best in Europe for the production of high performance electronics with very small components and very high frequencies. Our PCB (electronic) assembly line is fully automated and consists of the latest and best production and quality control machines from Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy and the USA. This new state-of-the-art facility marks the beginning of a new chapter for Artec and our increased ability to supply new products in the future. We thank the Luxembourg Government for attending the inauguration of our new facility and for celebrating this milestone with us".
