She was received by the Prime Minister at the Hôtel Saint-Maximin for a working meeting. The agenda focused on bilateral relations as well as on the main current European and international issues. The meeting was followed by a short walk along the Corniche.

During the bilateral meeting, Xavier Bettel stressed that "in this complex geopolitical situation, it is important to strengthen relations with our closest allies, among which I count Finland. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine and support the country and its people through our political, military and humanitarian aid". The Prime Minister added that "Luxembourg fully supports Finland's membership of NATO".

The Finnish Prime Minister also noted that "Finland and Luxembourg share common European values. Important issues for both of us include ambitious climate targets, human rights and equality, and the rule of law. We work closely together in the EU, especially on economic issues".

In the presence of Xavier Bettel, Sanna Marin had the opportunity to visit Robert Schuman's birthplace in Luxembourg-Clausen, a place of remembrance but also of history and scientific research. Catherine Léglu, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the University of Luxembourg, and Guido Lessing, historian and researcher at the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) at the University of Luxembourg, provided explanations.

The working visit ended with a lunch hosted by the Prime Minister, Minister of State Xavier Bettel, in honour of his Finnish counterpart.
